Aren't birds cool?! I had a parakeet as a young teen and the novelty wore off quickly. Either I've matured or chickens are just different enough that I'm hooked on them. We may do a second round of incubation to get a couple more full size hens, and if we do I'll let you know. I could throw a Country Manor themed picnic or dinner (costumed, of course!) and snuggling of the fuzzy birds would be encouraged. ;)

Thank you for the well wishes. The first week is the worst (for both of us) and after that life gradually settles into a new 'normal.' It's hard to be so helpless to make things better. :(
